Is Looply free?+
Yes, completely free. Connect your Spotify and get full access to all features — stats, AI discovery, friends, recs, playlist generator, taste map, and share cards.
Does Looply store my Spotify data?+
We only store your Spotify display name and profile picture so friends can find you. All music data is fetched directly from Spotify in real time — we never store your listening history.
How does the invite link work?+
Go to the Friends tab and copy your unique invite link. When someone opens it and connects their Spotify, you are automatically linked as friends with a compatibility score — no manual steps.
How is the compatibility score calculated?+
Compatibility is based on the overlap in genres, artists, and listening patterns between you and a friend. The more shared taste, the higher the score. Calculated from your real Spotify data.
How does the playlist generator work?+
Choose a mood. Looply uses your top tracks and artists as seeds, then applies Spotify recommendations with audio feature filters (energy, valence, tempo) to generate a mood-matched playlist from your taste.
Is Looply affiliated with Spotify?+
No. Looply is independent and uses Spotify's official public Web API. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Spotify AB.
